Between 2022 and 2024, the State Academy of Choreography of Uzbekistan carried out a number of landscaping and greening activities aimed at improving the Academy’s environment and increasing the level of green spaces under the nationwide “Yashil Makon” (Green Nation) initiative.
As part of these efforts, nearly 300 ornamental trees and shrubs were planted on the Academy’s campus. In addition, extensive greening activities were implemented in the neighborhoods assigned to the Academy. The ornamental species planted included Paulownia, ash, ligustrum (privet), ornamental shrubs, Japanese cherry (sakura), juniper, plane tree, Virginia juniper, and acacia. Fruit trees such as apricot, walnut, and persimmon were also planted. Continuous maintenance and monitoring are being carried out to ensure the healthy growth and preservation of these trees and shrubs.
Overall, the Academy planted more than 1,020 ornamental and fruit trees and shrubs both on its campus and in the assigned neighborhood areas.
For 2025, the Academy has planned to plant an additional 500 ornamental trees and shrubs as part of its continued commitment to environmental sustainability and the nationwide “Yashil Makon” initiative.
